The Mostly Mountain Boys — Paul Brown, Terri McMurray, and John Schwab — are fun. They’re lively. They’re real. You won’t forget their shows. They’re packed with fabulous old songs and tunes from the Southern mountains and the Piedmont. You’ll hear haunting banjo tunes, entertaining string band numbers, and rare fiddle classics learned in person from old timers famous and obscure. The Mostly Mountain Boys will leave you panting for still more stomp-down old time dance music and songs. Don’t miss them!

They’ll be putting on a show at 7:00 PM and each of them will be providing workshops during the day.  Details about the workshops are included below.Suggested donations are as follows:

Concert – $15

Concert & workshop – $35

The workshops will run concurrently from 3-5 PM ( you have to choose only one!) with a brief relaxation break followed by a potluck meal starting at 6.  Table space for sit down eating is limited so please bring foods appropriate for picnic type atmosphere.  We supply ice water and herbal tea – feel free to augment with beverage of your choice.

Roundpeak-style clawhammer banjo – intermediate level.

Guitar – with John
Traditional backup guitar styles – intermediate level.  In person explanations of concepts from his book “Old-Time Backup Guitar: Learn from the Masters”.
